Minimum Qualification Standards:

For reader analysts: professional/ paid experience providing coverage or analysis services.

For writers: providing sample material that will receive a "Consider" or "Recommend" from the first 10 pages. This is necessary since the samples we would send to potential clients will only be 10 pages and should reflect your best work.

Readers/ Analysts/ Writers

We are always looking for qualified individuals to become part of the team. If you have experience providing coverage, analysis, repair, or ghostwriting services, please consider becoming part of a growing database of talented individuals who are looking for opportunities to supplement their income.

We are currently in need of ghost-screenwriters from different parts of the country (USA), as well as readers and ghostwriters familiar with teleplay and stage play formats.

Our assignment process is simple. When orders come in that our 2-3 lead  analysts/writers are unavailable to work on, not qualified to work on, or do not meet special service requests, a query email will be sent out to the team for assignment interest/pickup. The query will contain the service requested by the client (coverage, etc.), the script type, the expected turnaround time, and the service fee that would be payable to you. Fees can range from $30 to $14,000 depending upon the service requested (coverage is typically $40-$125, analysis is $100-$250).

You are not obligated to accept an assignment query. If you are unavailable, not interested, or not accepting of the fee, then by all means let the assignment pass onto another team member. Once you do accept an assignment, you will need to complete it within the time stated on the query, since that is the date the client expects it to be done. Communication is critical. If for any reason you cannot meet the deadline, please notify us immediately to request an extension or to hand it off.  With enough notice, the clients usually accept slight delays. Once an assignment is complete, your service fee is sent to you (by check or Paypal, whichever you prefer). Note: advanced services are payable in installments.

As mentioned, assignments may come in that sometimes have special requests attached to them. For example, a client in New York may need a ghostwriter to polish his/her material, but wants a female writer who is from or lives in New York City and has expertise with romantic comedy screenplays. We need to be able to pull from our database those individuals who meet those requirements, query them for their interest and availability, then submit their resume & work sample to the client for review.

Note 1: Many times, repeat customers request past analysts for their new material, so it is not unusual for us to send infrequent assignment queries out to the team.

Note 2: Orders mailed into our office will be routed locally to team members in the Los Angeles area, to ensure the quickest turnaround time for the customer.

Note 3: To ensure as many team members get to work on incoming assignments, you will not be allowed more than 2 orders in your queue at a given time. This is also to help ensure that promised turnaround times are met.

Note 4:  Providing the email address that you check most frequently will be to your advantage when accepting assignment queries.

Please understand that becoming part of the team means you are on an availability list as part of the resource database. It is a freelance and as-needed position. You will not be an employee of My Script Needs Help! You will be an independent contractor, and as such receive a 1099 for the respective tax year.
